Cookbook [19th cent.] [167 p. 19 cm. holograph]. Diary, 1862 Sept.-1863 Sept., of Kate W. Poiven, Oakley, which describes Civil War conditions near Upperville, with the 1863 descriptions being in the form of letters [60 p. holograph signed]. Inverted and reversed in that volume are passages in French translated into English of unidentified novels, and commentaries on psalms, all by C. Virginia Turner of Middleburg [122 p. holograph signed].
